Mom LOVES you Bud

Quilt Robin

I am excited I have joined a row robin quilt swap I am so looking forward to doing this. This will be the biggest swap I have taken part in, and feel like it will be a good one. Go take a look at it, maybe you would be interested in participating.

I m looking at my fabrics, trying to decide what I want to do my row in or of, I almost wish I could do my row last to balance out color, but instead I get to take the lead. That way I can show what I want. Choices, Choices, Choices..... You could have the choices too by going over and joining in on the robin.

MIA ?

Yes, I have been MIA in blogland, but not in life... I have just been very busy, and unable to get on here. I believe things will slow back down for a few days. I have had a few minutes to read my emails and clear my email box out. I even looked at a few blogs, and just a few minutes on HGTV site

Look at this bedroom I realy like it , I would just make it in lavender and purple

maybe I will loook at things, and see what I can do to redo my room I do need a headboard, I have a dresser compatible, I will have to play with the idea in my head. What does your dream rom look like, or something similar to it. I would like to redo my room and he upstairs bath, if I stay here another year. But until i know, I will not make any commitments until I know what I am doing.

Do you like fat quarters? If so go to see Sew,Mama,Sew! and sign up for the swap, You have today and tommorow to do so. Hurry over to join. I am so excited to get mine both to send out and in the mail.

I hope to have a quiet day for most of the day tommorow, It is DS's 22nd birthday, h hasnt decided what he wants for dinner yet, So I may need to make a grocery store run to pick up something, but I have not been in a store for a week, so its okay.
Have a nice Day

Its Tuesday

Today was a day for me, I did not have DGS and I wasted alot of time, though I did get some grocery shopping done, as well as stop at the library and return some items due, and pick up some items that I have in that were requested. I did not surprisingly waste time at the library, I went in and right back out. At the grocery store I went a bit over budget, so I will have to balance it out in the next few weeks.

I have many thots in different areas of my home. So many things I would like to do, but have different reasions I can not.

Tonight I just really feel tired, so I think I will go to sleep early, and hopefully wake up refreshed.

I hope everyone had a nice day.

Catch Up

Many thots runnng through my mind, but first I will tell of my week end..

Friday I was out running errands, and paying bills and such as well as necesities and my meds.

Saturday I went to an indoor flea market sponsored by Boy Scout Troop DS use to belong to.. I spent $1 on self, $6.50 on DGS and $.50 on DD. DS didnt want anything. Then we went to a goodwill store, I spent $2.50 on DGS and nothing on anyone else.

Later that night I went with DS and his GF to Tower City ,I went to the dollar store and got some printer paper for a dollar. I also got myself an eye mask for when I am trying to nap. they stayed there for a movie and I came on home.

Sunday the 3 of us and a friend went to Mall that has a WalMart right there. I got some yarn, yes, I started out Feb bad, I decided to make someone a veigated black afghan, and I saw the yarn and got it. Enough for an afghan for under $20 that birthday present for a summer birthday is taken care of, atleast the buying, now I need to make it. DS's GF got me a Airwick air freshner, and she got herself a few things. We came home and had pizza for dinner, they watched Superbowl and I watched Fox line up and inspected the insides of my eyelids for pin holes. Didnt find any.

Monday I stayed home, I have DGS today, and I have spent time with him. I also worked on above said afghan some, and I will work on my lavender one tonight, yes, I have 2 afghans started, one is too bigh to take with me when I am away from home, and the other is a new one, so when I am on bus, I can take it with me to work on. Dinner tonight is Chicken and vegetable rice.

Thursday

The snow has stoped for a wole day, but it is due to start back up tonight and tommorow. I am so ready for this to be over with. Though it is not my call, so patient I will TRY to be!!

Today really was just a lazy day for me, I didnt really do anything, My highlight of the day besides spending time with my precious Grandson, was signing up for the SECRET EASTER SWAP here, and she told me how to put the symbol thing on my blog...It really is exciting to have done that. I have a few things planned for the Swap, and am really excited, so that is added to my Feb list of things to do.

The no spend challenge I am joining in on is located on frugal board at About.com I think this will be a challenge but fun. Exspecially if we have the snow like we did this month, I will not have a rough time staying home and out of stores.

We are 2.05 inches away from tying our all time snowiest January on record. We may make it as we are expecting snow again for the next 3 days. I wonder if the ground hog will even be able to dig out of his hole on groundhog day.

February

February is quickly approaching, so I thought I would take a few minutes to jot down my goals and such I can see coming up next month.
  1. I have 5 appointments set at this time, I want to have to cancel none of them, Since I have a habit of postponing my appointments
  2. My DS's Birthday is this month, enjoy the day with him
  3. Finish class at church on the 9th.
  4. Finish Christmas present I am making for someone.
  5. Cut out Plastic canvas project ordered by BC
  6. Work on afghan that CA has ordered
  7. Increase water intake, by 10 oz a day by end of month
  8. Save all my dimes (new) pennies(already do)
  9. Sewing make me 1 new top, and make 1 set of curtains
  10. Read 4 times a week.
  11. Plan container gardening for spring

Now, I just have to make it through January, and all of the snow. Which I am so tired of, and we still have over a month of it left.

Feb. I am going to try to do a no spend month and only buy essentials, since I have already ordered DS's birthday present. We will go out to eat for DS's birthday too. Since I have things ordered I will use my time to work on those and they are both buying or bought the supplies to make them.

Tuesday

Today was a very productive day for me. I feel like I really got quite a bit done.

I am going to look for some new inexpensive meals for tommorow. If you have any TNT recipies please share.

DGS is spending the night since the weather is suppose to turn real bad, that way DD does not have to bring him in the morning. If it gets as bad as they say it will, he may spend tommorow night too. DD does not get off of work tommorow till 7 so it maybe real bad by then, unless it moves through faster than they say.

I am still working on a craft for some ones Christmas present for 2009.

Monday

Today I was able to do a few things, and enjoy some time with DGS, since DD had a short day at work.

I was able to finish a dish cloth, I am just making them to stock up on them, for both myself, and to use as gifts, I am stock piling them while I have time. No fancy stitches right now, just using single crochets. Maybe soon I will change to another stitch. Right now this single stitch is a smooth rhythmic movement with no thought, no counting just letting my mind wander as my fingers stitch. gliding along until I am done.

I also worked on a present for someone too. Just a few stitches.

Dinner tonight was Pork Chops and Bacon cheddar Potatoes baked in the oven, and Broccoli steamed on the stove top, all were good.

Tonight was class at church, many things are swirling in my mind, I now have several things to dwell on.

I am ready for this winter to be over, but its not in my time so I shall accept it and keep on going. We are suppose to get more snow and cold tomorrow, so I will be participating in Warm Sweater Wednesday over at Penny's I think I will wear my Navy blue sweater this week... But for now, I will end my Monday and tap dance through Tuesday.

The 25th

I am using the 25th of every month to do advance Christmas work. Today I am working on a present for my DD.

Doing this will also help me to be hopefully ahead of the game when November/December rolls around. I would really like to make it a 90% homemade Christmas, but I am not sure.

Have you thot about christmas ahead of the game yet? Id be interested in hearing what you are doing.

It is in the teens outside, and snowing, so I am not having a rough time thinking about Christmas today, I will also spend the day at home, I do not have DGS today as DD is off work.

Today is a no spend day for me since I will be home all day, that is a good thing :)

Enjoy your day today.

Friday

I have decide I need to post more, so I shall do that. I hope to post a few times a week depending on what is going on.

This week the weather has been warming up, so it is nice to be in the low 40's for a day. Tomorow we will be back in the teens and single digits. I am so ready for spring to get here.

I want to do some container gardening this year, tomatoes, peppers, and maybe try a cuke plant, though I am not sure yet.

My curent craft projects are many but my main focus is a present for someone special, and a spring cover for my bed. I would like to get a few spring/summer tops made in the next two month, but only time will tell if I get that done.

Yes this is short today, but its a start.
